If you have 5 days to spend in Tokyo, then I would suggest spending on of those days visiting Nikko. Two hours north of Tokyo taking the Shinkansen and JR Nikko line which includes a transfer at Utsunomiya. I had 4 days in Tokyo and as much as I would have liked to stay longer I knew 4 days would be enough. This being my third time visiting but ask anyone and most would always would’ve liked to stay that much longer in the city.
